Scenic Ridge Route

Start this route in Savanna, IL. Head north on US 52 and on the north end of town you will see a street marked "Scenic Ridge Route" that goes off to the east (take a right off of US 52). Take Scenic Ridge Route as it climbs up through some city streets to the top of bluffs, then heads north. Later this road will change names to Route 7/Derinda Rd. at the JoDaviess County line but you won't even notice cause you'll be having too much fun. Stay on this north till the route's end point when it runs into US Highway 20 about 2 miles east of Elizabeth, IL.

Scenic vistas, rolling hills, farms. Exceptional fall foliage. Starts out at the beautiful Mississippi Palisades State Park.

Smooth road surface, plenty of sweeping corners and elevation changes.

Nothing along this route but scenery and turns.
