Lookout Mountain Road

In Golden, just off of US Route 6, look for 19th street heading west in to the mountains. Take 19th street west and it will veer south and turn into Lookout Mountain Road. Follow this road all the way till it takes you past the Buffalo Bill Memorial Museum and on to the end when the road runs into US 40 the route's end. From there you can either turn around and take it back the opposite way or you can get on I-70 and go wherever you want.

Wonderful view of the Golden & the Denver Metro area when you reach the summit.

Great twisty road. Short but very fun. Very well maintained road as well.

Short enough road that your not far from anything you need such as gas & food. There is the Buffalo Bill Memorial Museum at the top!

Warning: be careful as this is used by bicyclists very heavily.
