Las Vegas to Searchlight to Nipton

Las Vegas 95 South towards Laughlin. Searchlight is a small town between Las Vegas & Laughlin. Gas up in Searchlight as last gas station for approx 50 miles. From Seachlight I-95, turn right on NIPTON ROAD (across from the McDonalds). Can also follow sign that states NIPTON. Can get bit cold in the winter months on this road but nice relaxing ride. Nipton is an old town with small convenience store. Great photo opportunities. Stay on Nipton Road and will run into I-15. Nipton Road ends at CA/NV stateline on I-15 where your route ends. From there you can get on on I-15 and go to CA & Death Valley (southwest on I-15) or head back up (north-northeast) to Las Vegas.

The route starts you out in Las Vegas, the beautiful deserts surrounding Lake Mead as well as takes you through the cooled down CA desert with beautiful cactus and Joshua trees.

US 95 is a great 4 lane open highway. Nipton road is 2 lane highway but in good condition.

Searchlight has options including Searchlight Casino with great food and drink specials. GET GAS LAST STOP for 50-60 miles Nipton only has small convenience store for snack and drinks. NO GAS

Great option for larger runs or individual rides.
