For an awesome return trip, just cross the river into Wisconsin and head south along Wisconsin 35 (the Great River Road) as it hugs the river on the east side ... you're really going to enjoy this trip!!!
Ride along the Mississippi River - most beautiful scenery I've ever seen, been to 28 states, nothing like it !!!
The roads are good quality and have a nice amount of turns as they follow the path of the Mississippi.
Not really too much to do here but there are place to get gas and food.
