The Royal Riders Group organized a memorial ride in Sacramento

The Royal Riders Group organized a memorial ride in Sacramento to honor two teenagers killed in a car crash and remind drivers to stay safe.

Two Sacramento teenagers, Ariyonna and Piper, lost their lives in a car crash on Sunday, leading the community to gather for a memorial ride organized by the Royal Riders Group.

Fei Lin, who said he considered Ariyonna like family, spoke emotionally about the last conversation they shared.

“When I talked to her, I said, ‘Who’s this?’ and she said, ‘Hi Dad, it’s your favourite.’ That was the last time I talked to her,” Lin said.

Lin described the strong connection they had, saying Ariyonna spent so much time at their house that it became like a second home to her.

“We got so close. She’s like one of the family members,” he said.

He said hearing about the crash left him devastated.

“I just broke down instantly. I had talked to her the night before,” Lin said.

As evening approached, community members gathered with candles while riders arrived to honor the teens. The memorial ride was led by the Royal Riders Group, whose members said they wanted to support one of their own during a painful time.

“We’re doing a memorial ride for a fellow rider’s close family member,” said Thomas Seymour, co-founder of the group. “We support each other through the good times and the bad times, and unfortunately, this is one of the bad ones.”

Dozens of riders joined together in remembrance of Ariyonna and Piper.

“We’re here to support our brother, and the whole community is hurting over what happened,” said Raj Kumar, another co-founder of the group. “Young girls died. It’s horrible.”

Dylan Seymour said he joined the ride to stand beside the community and help support those grieving.

“We do it for riders when they’re in need,” he said. “I felt like I should be there.”

Before the group departed, riders shared a message encouraging drivers to stay safe and pay attention on the road.

“If you’ve got a fast car, take it easy and be careful out there,” Kumar said.

Members of the Royal Riders Group said they frequently organize rides like this, sometimes raising money to help people facing difficult situations.
