ALL ABOARD COAL TRAIN 421! Join the AMG as we take you on one of our most popular trail routes through the heart of Eastern Kentucky and the Mountains of Appalachia! Coal Train 421 is a ride packed full of Coal Mining History, Military History, Mountain Towns, Murals, Monuments, Scenic Roads, and some of the best food anywhere in Kentucky! This unforgettable journey will take us from Richmond, KY all the way into the mountains of Harlan County as we explore some of our favorite places and hidden gems along the way! EVENT SCHEDULE 9:00AM — Riders South meet at Walmart in Corbin, KY to ride north to Richmond! 10:00AM — Riders North meet us at United Motorsports in Richmond, KY off Exit 90 on I-75 at the official start of Coal Train 421! 11:00AM — ALL ABOARD! Kickstands Up! First stop — The BOA Freedom Ridge Welcome Center and the BIG CHAIR! Learn about the historic Civil War Battle of Big Hill while taking one of the best group photos in Appalachia! 1:15PM — Jackson County Veterans Memorial in downtown McKee, KY One of the most incredible Veterans Memorials in Kentucky honoring those who served and sacrificed for our country. 2:45PM — Lunch at Pat’s World Famous Snack Bar in Manchester, KY! Home of what many call the BEST BURGER IN KENTUCKY! Experience the beauty and small-town Appalachian charm of Clay County and the Land of Swinging Bridges! 5:30PM — Downtown Harlan, Kentucky Explore the heart of Kentucky Coal Country including: Umbrella Alley The Famous Possum Mural The NEW Birds Mural by Kustom FX Graphics Coal Mining Monuments Downtown Shops and History The Harlan County Courthouse Dinner options available for those still hungry at some of our favorite places including: Portal Pizzeria Harlan Beer Company 7:00PM — Head Home Through the Mountains! We will finish the evening on some of our favorite Appalachian Roads including Gateway 119 and Revenue Runner Hwy 92 as the sun sets over the mountains!
